Argo Golf Day is an annual event hosted by the University of West Florida Men's and Ladies' Golf Teams and their coaches. Argo Golf Day will have two parts. There will be a clinic for ages 5-10, and a tournament for ages 11-18. Please read the full details below prior to registering.
The Clinic: November 5 from 12 pm - 1:00 pm with check in beginning at 11:45. For ages 5-10. The clinic will be hosted by UWF Collegiate golfers on the practice area at Osceola Golf Course. Bring your clubs if you have them and if not, don't worry! College golfers will interact with juniors to teach them skills and play some fun games! Cost is $15 and includes pizza and a drink for the junior after the clinic. Clinic size will be limited to 25 juniors, so do not wait to register.
The Tournament: November 5. For ages 11-18.
Tournament Schedule: Pizza lunch and warm-up will be from 1:00 - 1:45 pm. We will gather for announcements at 1:45 and the tournament will start at 2:00 pm sharp.
Tournament Format: Junior golfers ages 11-18 will be paired with a UWF Varsity Golfer (or recent Alumni) from either the men’s or women’s golf team. Teams will play a four-person 9-hole scramble from age-appropriate tees. Please —no special pairings requests!
Tournament Registration: $50 per player. Registration is limited to the first 17 junior golfers as one junior will be paired with one golfer from either the Argo men's or women's golf team . Additional registrants beyond 17 will be added to a waiting list and will be contacted if there is an opening.
Tournament Includes: Nine-Hole Scramble with Cart, Souvenir Team Picture with Frame, Pizza before Play (Please note: Each junior golfer will ride in a cart with their UWF playing partner)
