Obituary for Cliff Dorsey:
“Clifford “Cliff” Dorsey, 70, of Milton, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 4th, 2023 in Arizona.
Cliff was born to Thomas and Florence Dorsey on June 12, 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia. The young Navy family later moved to Milton, Florida where Cliff excelled in youth sports, and in football and golf at Milton High School. He later played football at the Naval Academy Prep School. Cliff served six years of active and reserve duty for the Navy from 1971-1977. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1979 where he met and married his wife, Linda, in November of 1979. Together they became successful business owners for over 30 years in Texas and Florida.
Cliff was an avid golfer, known for his infectious smile, humor, love of music (all types), and kindness to all. He loved life and was a genuine friend you could always count on.
Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Florence Dorsey. He is survived by his life companion, Linda Dorsey, their two children, Travis Dorsey and Savannah Dorsey, his grandson, Ethan Dorsey, and his three brothers, Tom Dorsey (Gail), Curt Dorsey (Shana), and Adam “Bear” Dorsey, eight nieces and nephews and many Kentucky cousins.
His “Celebration of Life” will be Friday, December 15th at Stonebrook Golf Club from 5:15 PM to 8:15 PM located at 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace, Florida
For the last 30 years, Cliff was part of the Annual Tom Dorsey Winter Classic Jr. Golf Tournament, held each December by the First Tee Gulf Coast to honor his late father. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations to be made in Cliff’s honor to the local First Tee Chapter.”
